All CHS Home Care Division employees – as well as volunteers and contractors in each of its 114 agencies – are required to wear an ID badge. Creating and printing the badges for the CHS Home Care Division falls on the human resource team at the company’s headquarters, which is tasked with making 50-200 badges every month.
“Our existing ID system was very slow and the product was of a reduced quality,” said Rebecca Wyatt, a human resource specialist at Community Health Systems. “The colors often faded and were not a true depiction of our logos and the software was very slow.” And for the team in Franklin, Tennessee, time was of the essence. An entire day was being set aside each week to create and print ID badges, which detracted from the department’s many other roles and responsibilities.
After researching various replacement ID systems, the CHS Home Care Division chose ID Shop based on the flexibility of its solutions and its competitive pricing. “We evaluated lots of different vendors and products and ID Shop was by far one of the most economical,” said Wyatt. “They also provided the support we needed to get the project approved internally.”
The new system from ID Shop has made the badging process more efficient, which has saved the company valuable resources and time. “We used to dedicate Fridays to printing and sending out badges, but now we can do them in a third of the time,” said Wyatt. “They are easier to format, much easier to print, and the software integrates much better with our systems. The badges are also of a much higher quality than what we could produce before.”
Today, the CHS Home Care Division relies on ID Shop for its ID system and accessories, as well as lanyards and all of its printing supplies.
“Whenever I need support or additional supplies, ID Shop is there for us. I can send them an e-mail and they have supplies to us the very next day,” said Wyatt. “Their customer service is outstanding and everyone is very accommodating. I would absolutely recommend them.”
