The Challenge
All CHS Home Care Division employees – as well as volunteers and contractors in each of its 114 agencies – are required to wear an ID badge. Creating and printing the badges for the CHS Home Care Division falls on the human resource team at the company’s headquarters, which is tasked with making 50-200 badges every month.
“Our existing ID system was very slow and the product was of a reduced quality,” said Rebecca Wyatt, a human resource specialist at Community Health Systems. “The colors often faded and were not a true depiction of our logos and the software was very slow.” And for the team in Franklin, Tennessee, time was of the essence. An entire day was being set aside each week to create and print ID badges, which detracted from the department’s many other roles and responsibilities.
