ID Shop Helps Lee Health Re-Badge Over 12,000 Employees at Multiple Locations in Florida
“I would definitely recommend ID Shop – especially for a rollout of this size and importance and at multiple locations. They were able to get everything done on time and on budget without any service interruptions.”

Lee Health
The Challenge
Located in Fort Myers, Florida, Lee Health includes four acute care hospitals, two specialty hospitals and a number of doctor’s offices and other healthcare facilities.
As a result of a system-wide rebranding from Lee Memorial Health System to Lee Health, all employees needed new ID badges with Lee Health’s new look and logo that would also integrate with the company’s new Kronos time and attendance system.
“This was a great opportunity to achieve two goals,”said Alison Thurau, System Director, Human Resources for Lee Health. “We wanted to announce our new brand and re-badge everyone prior to the Kronos implementation.”
The company’s HR department needed a partner to help them with the monumental task of rebadging over 12,000 employees and staff members across almost a dozen locations including the four large hospitals, as well as its affiliated facilities and offices.
The Solution
Prior to the rebranding, many Lee Health employees carried a photo ID card – as well as multiple access control cards and a paper card with hospital codes and procedures – inside a vinyl pouch. While some employees attached these cards to badge reels, others wore lanyards.
Lee Health wanted to provide uniformity across all of its locations by moving to a single ID badge and access control card that would also integrate with the company’s new Kronos time and attendance system.
ID Shop worked with Lee Health’s internal committee to design a uniform badge with a full coverage hologram overlay on the front and a barcode on the back. The new photo ID badge includes a sleek Badge Backer that includes the organization’s emergency contacts, codes and mission statement, as well as the individual’s role at the facility.
